2018 Pantone Color of the Year: Ultra Violet Wedding Inspiration

If you haven't heard, Pantone announced that it's 2018 Color of the Year is Ultra Violet, a "dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade" that "communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us toward the future."

This vibrant, blue-based purple demands attention, and might be a bit intimidating for some brides, but it's actually quite versatile. Here are four very different color palettes to inspire your very own Ultra Violet wedding!

Calm & Serene

Varying shades of violet, accented with pops of silver create a elegant color palette that's certain to withstand the test of time. I love that this palette resembles a starry night sky!

Rustic & Organic

I don't think Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery, is going away any time soon. Especially when it works so well with Ultra Violet! Add in touches of ivory and wood, and you have the makings of a very romantic, woodsy wedding.

Bold & Glamorous

While the first two palettes play down the vibrancy of Ultra Violet, this one puts it front and center. The jewel tones and gold are perfect for a dramatic, over-the-top wedding.

Bright & Playful

This is the PERFECT summer palette - whether a farm wedding with sunflowers, or a destination wedding with bright tropical flowers.
