Blowouts, Bubbly, and Brunch: Girly Bridal Shower Inspiration

Flirty and feminine bridal shower inspiration at with a spa day at Glow Blotique in Sewickley and brunch at Bar Marco in the Strip District,
featured on Burgh Brides.

Here's a list of some of my favorite things: fabulous hair, mimosas, donuts, and fun with the gals. Well, a few months ago I thought, "Why not combined all of these things and create some amazing bridal shower inspiration?" The end result was a bright and girly styled shoot that's being featured on one of my favorite blogs!

About the shoot...

The idea for this shoot came about after a talk with GLOW Blotique.  The whole concept behind GLOW is about turning the salon experience into a social outing, much like the salons of the 50s and 60s.  I instantly fell in love with the idea of a girls’ day out styled shoot where a few gal pals get together for pampering and celebration for no other reason other than enjoying each other’s friendship.

GLOW was the setting for the first part of the shoot.  The atmosphere there is so carefully curated with its clean lines and mixed metals that we left the décor as is and let it speak for itself.  And how incredible is that gold feature wall ,which acted as the backdrop for our mini rosé station?!

Our second venue was The Union Hall at Bar Marco.  It is essentially a blank canvas which let the colors of our brunch tablescape really pop.  Karrie Hlista Designs provided the vibrant pink and orange centerpieces which featured parrot tulips, garden roses, ranunculus, and playful greenery in feminine milk glass vases.  Their bright color palette was the perfect complement to the cobalt blue glasses and patterned plates provide by All Occasion Party Rental.  The “Funfetti” table runner from Linen Hero added an unexpected touch of texture.

The balloon garland for our food station was created by yours truly, as was the donut-hole tower and the raspberry panna cotta.  Bartram House Bakery provided the darling macarons.  The entire shoot was beautifully tied together by Hello Rachel Creative’s invitation design and the fun and flirty wardrobe provided by Lex & Lynne.
